Hey there! As the resident "chick" on J105 I get to be sandwiched between Pete and Joe in the morning and Sparks in the afternoon from 10a-3pm.
I moved to Boise in 1998 from the Virgin Islands (insert obvious joke here), and prior to that I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, which makes me a die hard Giants baseball fan. When I'm not doing the radio thing, I'm usually checking out live music, traveling, or just hanging out with my two dogs Dia and Noche.
I'm a typical "latch-key" kid of the 80's, and when my parents were at work and thought I was home doing chores or homework, I spent most of my time in the record stores searching for new, cool, music and rare imports. Then spending my nights cranking up the tunes in my bedroom while devouring the liner notes on each and every album. That's probably why I love doing Electric Lunch each weekday at noon, I get to use all the useless knowledge I soaked up as a teenager.
People always ask me "who's your favorite band"? Well, as much as I love Aerosmith (and yes I do belong to the fan club), there are so many bands and/or songs that have influenced me over the years. There's music I like to listen to while driving, cleaning house, reading, working in the yard or at the gym. Kind of my own personal soundtrack might go something like this:
1. Getting up in the morning and having coffee: Led Zeppelin "Fool in the Rain"
2. Driving to work: Van Halen "Best of Both Worlds"
3. Lunchtime: Whatever that day's Electric Lunch album is
4. Whistle blows, time to go home: Sammy Hagar "Heavy Metal"
5. Dinner music: The Doors "Roadhouse Blues"
6. Getting ready to go out: ANY Motley Crue
7. Winding down: Aerosmith "Dream On"
8. Chilling out: Journey "Girl Can't Help It"
